Kids Help Phone’s free, 24/7, confidential e-mental health support services offer young people across Canada a non-judgmental space to Feel Out Loud and navigate their emotions through phone, text and online resources in English, French and some additional languages.
Designed and delivered by First Nations, Inuit and Métis people under the leadership of an Indigenous Advisory Council, Kids Help Phone offers dedicated Indigenous programming to First Nations youth from coast to coast to coast.

First Nations youth can search contact information for support programs and services across Canada on Resources Around Me. This directory is also searchable by First Nations community, language, type of program or service needed and more, and includes supports for leaving care, wellness and community supports, legal and advocacy supports, etc.

Connect for mental health and wellness support
Professional counselling
The professional counsellors at Kids Help Phone recognize the strengths of young people by helping them find ways to manage their own challenges. Counselling is also available over the phone in Plains Cree, Severn Ojibwe or French with the help of trained interpreters from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET.

Volunteer crisis texting
The trained, volunteer crisis responders at Kids Help Phone can help people identify coping strategies and reflect on sources of strength and community in their lives through text. First Nations youth and adults can also text and ask to connect with a First Nations volunteer crisis responder (if one’s available).
